Senior Full Stack Developer

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to lead the build of client web platforms end to end - from WordPress/WooCommerce stores to custom React & Node applications - working directly with our founders on high-impact projects.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience building with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Solid backend experience with Node.js (Express or similar frameworks)
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress and WooCommerce development and customization
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and data modeling
  • Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred - App Services, managed databases, storage)
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations
  • Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-documented code
  • Understanding of website performance, security, and scalability best practices
  • Comfortable working directly with clients to scope and deliver requirements

Soft Skills

  • Strong ownership mindset - able to take a project from requirements to launch
  • Clear written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable mentoring junior developers and interns
  • Good time management across multiple concurrent client projects
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field — not mandatory. We weigh practical experience and a strong portfolio heavily.
  • 3+ years of professional full stack development experience preferred.

Bonus Skills Not Mandatory

  • Experience with Flutter or other cross-platform mobile frameworks
  • Experience with headless commerce or Shopify Plus
  • Familiarity with Supabase or similar BaaS platforms
  • Experience integrating AI/ML features (e.g. personalization, recommendations)
  • Prior agency or freelance experience managing multiple clients
  • Experience using AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code
  • A public GitHub profile or portfolio of shipped projects

What You'll Do

  • Architect and build full stack solutions for our client base across Sri Lanka, Mauritius, the UK, and the US
  • Lead development on WordPress/WooCommerce and custom React/Node projects
  • Set up and maintain cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines
  • Review code and mentor junior developers and interns
  • Collaborate directly with designers, marketers, and clients on requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across live client sites
  • Contribute to technical decisions on new product initiatives
